For many years, International Women Build Week (WBW) has been an important part of the annual schedule for us here at Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity. A joint program sponsored by Lowe’s in partnership with Habitat for Humanity International, WBW promotes women in construction and raises awareness of housing issues facing women and their families.
As we continue to face the impeding challenges brought on by the global pandemic, Women Build Week 2021 will be celebrated through our virtual platform. Habitat and Lowe’s are partnering to raise awareness of how Covid-19 has increased the need for safe, affordable housing. Look out for ways to advocate, learn, and get involved virtually all week – we look forward to celebrating with you!

Women Build Week 2021: FAQ
1. Can I volunteer at Women Build Week in 2021?
This year, Women Build Week is highlighting the global housing challenges faces by women that have been exacerbated by Covid-19. Due to Covid-19 safety concerns, there will be no on-site opportunities for new volunteers at this time.
2. What can I do to get involved today?
While there will be no on-site opportunities for new volunteers in 2021, there are still ways to get involved, like watching PVHH’s women in construction panel event or joining our affordable housing advocacy campaign!
3. Where can I learn more about volunteering in the future?
Now is a great time to attend a new volunteer orientation so you’re ready to go when volunteers are welcomed back on site! You can also check out our volunteering page and watch our site safety video to get a better idea of what to expect when volunteering with PVHH.
