Amherst

PVHH partnered with the Amherst Community Land Trust (ACLT) to build an affordable duplex on land formerly owned the North Amherst Community Farm (NACF). ACLT chosen PVHH to be the developer of two affordable home ownership units at the site and construction was completed June 2018.

Habitat completed a duplex condominium at the Hawthorne Farm site at East Pleasant Street in Amherst in 2017. You can read more about the history of Amherst’s public planning process for this site at amherstma.gov.

The wall raising for this home on Belchertown Road was held on September 9 2012. The house was completed on schedule in 2013 thanks to a well-organized and great volunteer crew.

Habitat built four single-family homes between 2006 and 2011 on Stanley Street.  The land was donated by Amherst College and Amherst students were active on the building crews, supplemented by other PVHH construction volunteers.  The homes were designed by Kuhn Riddle Architects for great energy efficiency, which helps keep them sustainable for low-income homeowners.
