14th annual Gingerbread Build

Join us for the 14th annual Gingerbread Build, a week-long build-at-home event with a public award ceremony! By building small (gingerbread) homes from the comfort of YOUR home, you’re supporting the construction of real homes with low income families in Hampshire & Franklin counties. Last year, teams and matching dollars totaled over $10,000; you and your team can help grow that number this year!

How it works

Register your team

For a donation of $100, register your team. You can then (optionally!) use our fundraising platform to increase your team’s impact and compete for fundraising prizes.

Create your masterpiece

Collect your kit at distribution day and build at home! You must use all provided kit pieces to enter the contest, but add any other materials you wish.

Submit your entry

Submit three photos and your team’s name to gingerbread@fhhabitat.org by the deadline to enter the contest! Photos will be posted to FH Habitat’s facebook page.

Celebrate the winners!

Join us for a Zoom ceremony where the contest and fundraising winners will be announced! Prize collection information will be emailed to winners.

Important details and dates

November 11th, 2026: Sponsorship deadline.
December 3rd, 2026: Team registration deadline.
December 5th, 2026: Gingerbread kit pickup day!
- We will supply the six gingerbread house walls and roof pieces and a bag of frosting mortar, you add any other building materials you wish.
December 10th, 2026, by midnight: Contest entry submission deadline.
- Include your team name in the submission photos but no personal information (photos will be posted on Facebook).
- You must use all six pieces of gingerbread we supply to be entered in the contest, but your team’s collective imagination is the only limit when it comes to decorating your masterpiece!
December 12th, 2026: Virtual award ceremony.
- Esteemed celebrity judges will host and award prizes in each of the categories.
